News of Alt-Fest's cancellation started spreading through social media sites yesterday afternoon, later being confirmed by acts such as Marilyn Manson and Cradle of Filth cancelling their official events. Many other bands also posted what they had heard from the festival's management, but ticket-holders were kept in the dark leading to anger, frustration and speculation, essentially fanning the flames and making the situation worse. Finally after 24 hours Alt-Fest has broken the silence, though not much is revealed.
