My Sweet Torment were recently on tour with Theatres des Vampires, I got the oppurtunity for a short interview:
1. What is your overall opinion of the band Theatres des Vampires?
They are serious people who work a lot to create their music, and overall they are professional people who know how they've to be in each moment.
2. How was your experience on tour with Theatres des Vampires, and what are they like as people?
It was a good experience from which everybody could learn something. As people, did you forget that we are all supernatural people? Hahahaha.
3. Do you feel that there are any similarities between your band and Theatres des Vampires?
Yes, all of us have the goals in mind, and know the suffering it carries on.
4. What did you think of your visit to England, and what is your opinion on this country in general?
It is not the first time I have personally been there, but as musician I have to admit that the London concert went really good even if we could not do all of our show, the people in there made the stage shake.
5. Tell us a bit about your history, when was “My Sweet Torment” formed? And why did you choose this name?
My Sweet Torment was formed in 2004. Our music is based on how sweet the love can be and the torment you can be able to go through because of it.
We try our music to communicate feelings that everybody feels sometimes (we try to move between the dark side and the romantic), so the name of the band is easy to figure out.
6.What influences and inspires your music?
Life itself is our inspiration. And in what music is referred the black and death metal, and classical music.
7. Are there any particular bands or musicians you aspire to?
More than bands we aspire to play in important places and overall to conquer our fans's hearts.
8. Were there any memorable experiences on this tour? And anything you have learned from?
Yes, there is too much to write all of them, but if there is anything to stand out....I would say the hard work it leads being traveling everyday and give your all even all the obstacles in the way.
9.Would you tour with Theatres des Vampires again?
Yes, why not? We all get on well with everybody,....till the moment nobody has tried to suck nobody's blood....so.....no problem....Hahahahaha
