With the exception of Lacuna Coil and Theatres des Vampires, who have gained popularity internationally, Italian metal is largely overlooked. One such band that deserves more recognition is Macbeth, a gothic metal band formed in 1995. If they were from Scandinavia they'd probably be as big as Tristania or even Theatre of Tragedy. But unfortunately for them, and everyone who is missing out on them, they are Italian and that does appear to be like a fallen tree on the road to international success. That'll be a future feature!
