I've just discovered a band that has largely gone unnoticed since its conception in 1994. The band is "Pretentious, Moi?" and their music is the most interesting thing I have come across in quite some time. They are primarily goth rock, but there are a whole load of other influences in there too. Soaring trance synths, dance beats, jangly goth rock guitars, along with their heavier rhythm counterparts, anthemic choruses reminiscent of modern indie anthems. Its quite an eclectic mix and it works really well, each song has its own character, whilst bearing the "Pretentious, Moi?" stamp.
This is the first song I heard, and it got me hooked, so check 'em out! ;)
